Gabriele Magna was born on January 24th 1984 in Rome; he graduated in Medical Engineering at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2010 and obtained his Ph.D. in Sensorial and Learning Systems Engineering at the University of Rome Tor Vergara in 2015. From 2015 to 2019, he worked as a post-doc in the Electronic Engineering Department of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and from November 2023, he entered as RTDb at the Department of Chemical Science and Technology of the University of Rome Tor Vergata. His research activities focus on the fabrication and characterization of chemical sensors based on organic and hybrid nanostructured materials, the synthesis of chiral sensing film for sensor applications, and the development of multivariate and bio-inspired adaptive classification models. In 2019, he won the W. Göpel Award for best presentation at ISOEN 2019 (Fukuoka, Japan). From 2019 to 2023, Gabriele participated as RTDa in a European Research Project (INITIO) aiming to develop chemical sensors for the enantioselective detection of chiral pollutants.
