RESEARCH ACTIVITY
Fiorella Faienza has a background in cellular and molecular biology, with training and expertise in the fields of biochemistry, autophagy and the cell cycle. During the PhD she studied the regulation of the pro-autophagy factor Ambra1 during mitosis while during the post-doctorate she studied the relationship between structure and function of the mitochondrial enzyme TRAP1 with a focus on redox modifications. Currently, she is studying the impact of structural changes, both redox and non-redox, on the TRAF2 protein and of its ability to interact with vesicles. Overall Fiorella Faienza scientific activity has resulted in 14 peer-reviewed publications and 1 book chapter. H-index 8 (source Scopus, November 2024). Citations: 607 (November 2024).
