Gabriele Magna was born on January 24th 1984 in Rome, he graduated in Medical Engineering at University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2010 and obtained is PhD in Sensorial and Learning Systems Engineering at University of Rome Tor Vergara in 2015. From 2015 to 2019 he worked as post-doc in the Electronic Engineering Department of the University of Rome Tor Vergata and from November 2019 he is a Junior Research Scientist at the Department of Chemical Science and Technology of the University of Rome Tor Vergata. His research activities are focused on fabrication and characterization of chemical sensors based on both organic and hybrid nanostructured materials, synthesis of chiral sensing film for sensor applications and development of multivariate and bio-inspired adaptive classification models. In 2019, he won the W. Göpel award for best presentation at ISOEN 2019 (Fukuoka, Japan). Gabriele is currently taking part to a European Research Project (INITIO) aiming to the development of chemical sensors for the enantioselective detection of chiral pollutants.
