Raffaella Salerno Wins “Best Student Contribution” at the E-MRS Fall 2026 Meeting

The oral presentation by our Ph.D. student Raffaella Salerno at Symposium B of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) won the “Best Student Contribution” award.

The award for her outstanding presentation, titled “Diamond-Based Devices for Solar Energy Utilization”, was given by the organizers of the thematic symposium “Diamond and Nanocarbon Materials for Advanced Sensing and Optoelectronic Devices” during the E-MRS Fall 2026 Meeting, held at the Warsaw University of Technology from September 14 to 17, 2026.

This recognition adds to both the title of MRS Early Career Distinguished Presenter, awarded to Raffaella at the Fall 2024 Meeting of the Materials Research Society (Boston, December 1 – 6, 2024), and the Best Poster Presentation Award she received at the “Second Symposium for YouNg Chemists: Innovation and Sustainability – SYNC 2024”, held in Rome, June 24–28, 2024, at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
