On April 20th, 2026, during the 6th meeting, Professor Marilena Carbone was re-elected International President of the Tattoo Ink Commission of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) for the 2026–2029 term.
The Commission represents an international reference point for risk assessment and regulatory aspects related to tattoo inks, operating at the interface between scientific research, public health, and regulation.
This re-election acknowledges the scientific and institutional contributions made in this field and strengthens the role of the Department of Chemical Science and Technologies in the international landscape of research on materials safety and health protection.
