Short CVPubblicazioni
Paolo Calligari is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemical Science and Technology of the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He graduated in Physics at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 2004. He received his PhD in Biophysical chemistry from the University of Pierre et Marie Curie – Paris VI (France) 2008. From 2008 to 2020, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Chemistry Department of Ecole Normale Supérieure (Paris), the International School of Advanced Studies (SISSA, Trieste), the Department of Chemical Science of the University of Padua, and the Department of Chemical Science and Technologies of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata.”

His research combines theoretical and experimental methods for characterizing the dynamical and structural properties of proteins; it focuses on three areas: theoretical models for interpreting experimental data, ligand-protein interactions, and the in-silico drug design. More recently, he has been applying multiple computational approaches to characterizing the allosteric mechanism of the phosphatase SHP2, a multi-domain protein involved in different types of cancers and rare genetic diseases.
