Third party R&D

The goal of third-party research and development (R&D) contracts is to create and strengthen links between university and local communities and territory, offering quality services that enhance academic skills within our institutional and statutory purposes.

Thanks to our innovative know-how and expertise, more and more public bodies and private companies are turning to the DSTC to commission research and consultancy activities.

The services that can be performed on behalf of third parties, as provided for in the relevant Regulations, may concern:

  1. R&D studies with a prevalent innovative purpose in the scientific or technical field, carried out in the interest of third parties;
  2. consultancy and study activities oriented to the formulation of technical and/or scientific opinions, feasibility studies, technical and scientific assistance, coordination and supervision, as well as project activities;
  3. training and/or professional updating activities, provided through the design and/or organization and execution of courses, seminars, conferences, conventions, training courses not issuing university training credits (CFU);
  4. design activities, coordination during the design and execution phases provided for by the regulations on safety and health to be implemented in temporary or mobile construction sites, testing;
  5. services for which a payment is requested for technical certifications or documentation (analyses, checks, tests, calibrations);
  6. sponsorships;
  7. any other activity that the Department may carry out within the scope of its institutional purposes and, in any case, made in the prevailing interest of the third party.
