Dr Cavalieri has produced 80 peer-reviewed articles (h-index 29, citations 2600) in leading international journals, including ACS Nano (IF 14), Materials Horizon (IF 13), Green Chemistry (IF 9.1), Chemistry of Materials (IF 9.5), Small (IF 8.6), Chem Comm (IF 6.3), ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces (IF 7.5), Nanoscale (IF 7.4) Biomacromolecules (IF 5.2) Macromolecules (IF 5.8), ACS Sustainable Chem. Eng ( IF 5.9).

Dr Cavalieri was awarded many international and competitive research fellowships including ARC Linkage Fellowship, the Australian Endeavour Fellowship, Future Fellowship and RMIT VC Senior Research. She has coordinated many international UE research projects (Horizon 2020) and attracted significant national and international research funding over the last five years.  She made key contributions in the engineering of nanostructured biomaterials and interfaces, supramolecular assembly of biopolymers for drug/gene delivery.
