Biographical Info

Daniel Oscar Cicero obtained his degree and Ph,D. in Chemistry at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, working in organic synthesis. From 1990 to 2001 he joined the NMR laboratory of IRBM, Pomezia, Italy, directed by Dr. Renzo Bazzo, specializing in the resolution of biomolecular structures. From 2001 to 2010 he worked at the NMR laboratory directed by Prof. Maurizio Paci, University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, where he became Associate Professor of Biochemistry in 2004. In 2010 founded the NMR laboratory at the Fundación Instituto Leloir, Buenos Aires, becoming Corresponding Researcher of the Argentinean National Research Council. From 2011 he works as consultant at IRBM Science Park, helping in the development and application of NMR in the drug discovery process. From 2017 DC is also the Director of the NMR laboratory of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. DC is the author of 115 publications, mainly in the field of Structural Biology and NMR techniques applied to drug discovery.
